REMOVALS SERVICE

Before the day:

• Try to arrange the removal date as far in advance as possible
• Notify local authorities. We supply a checklist with our quotations
• Arrange for washing machines, cookers, TV’s and satellite systems to be disconnected
• Decide the positioning of your furniture prior to the actual move day
• We do not advise moving into a house where other tradesmen are working, for example Painters and decorators, or carpet fitters
• Self assembly furniture is best returned to its flat pack form. Smaller items can however be moved at your own risk
• Fridge Freezers should be left to stand for about 2 hours after moving
• Ideally, washing machines would require the original transit brackets fitted prior to moving

On the day:

• Allow parking for the removal vehicle; 3 – 4 parking spaces if available
• On arrival, the driver in charge will ask to be shown around. Please make clear to him any items you wish to leave behind and any items you wish to take yourself
• We recommend that you look after jewellery, cash and important items yourself
• Both, small children and pets can get in the way when moving, please make suitable provisions
• Tea and coffee refresh well. Normally these are the last items to be packed and the first to be unpacked
• It is your responsibility to check all items have been removed prior to the men leaving. Particularly check the cupboards
• Gratuities can be given to the men at your discretion
